Tribe Nadi is the merged tribe of Extinction Island Season 1, formed on Day 26 when the host dissolved Tribes Mamanuca and Yasawa. The tribe name was chosen by the castaways themselves by group vote during the merge feast in Episode 13, with the result withheld until Episode 14. The name references Nadi — pronounced "Nan-di" in Fijian — the country's main international gateway city on the western coast of Viti Levu.
The tribe entered individual play with a clear numerical split: five former Yasawa members versus two former Mamanuca members (Priya Nair and Colton Briggs). Despite the disadvantage, the Mamanuca pair have been active in social gameplay since the merge, attempting to peel off swing votes from the Yasawa bloc.
