Lorraine Chu was voted out by Tribe Kadavu and sent to Extinction Island — the sixth castaway eliminated this season.
Story
The title "Ploy" refers to a last-ditch scheme by Lorraine Chu to save herself at Tribal Council. Having sensed the vote was coming for her, Lorraine approached Nadine and Tammy with a fabricated story — claiming she had overheard a Yasawa castaway at the reward feast mention that Nadine was a target for the merge. The ploy failed to convince either tribemate, and Lorraine was voted out unanimously.
Over at Tribe Vanua, the showmance tension from Episode 7 continues to simmer. Marcus pulls Denise aside and the two quietly agree to target Colton at the next opportunity, citing his divided loyalty as a liability heading into a likely tribe shake-up.

Immunity Challenge — "Pressure Drop"
Pressure Drop
Each tribe selects one representative to stand on a narrow post above the water while holding a weighted bucket overhead. As time passes, production adds weight to the bucket at regular intervals. The last representative still holding wins immunity for their tribe. A separate post competition runs simultaneously for the second immunity spot. Kadavu's two-person roster puts them at an immediate strategic disadvantage — neither Nadine nor Tammy is able to outlast the representatives from the larger tribes.
1st PlaceTribe Vanua — Immunity
2nd PlaceTribe Yasawa — Immunity
3rd PlaceTribe Kadavu — Tribal Council
