"Reunion" is the twenty-second and final episode of Extinction Island Season 1, airing February 22, 2001. Colton Briggs and Trevor Holt face the seven-person jury in the Final Tribal Council, making their cases for the title of Sole Survivor. After a heated and deeply personal jury session, Colton wins by a vote of 4–3 — the closest possible margin for a seven-person jury.
The Jury
The seven-person jury consists of the last players eliminated before the Final 2 who were not permanently removed:

Final Jury Vote — 4–3
Colton Briggs receives 4 jury votes. Trevor Holt receives 3 jury votes. The result is the closest possible outcome for a seven-person jury.
Final Tribal Council
The Final Tribal Council opens with both finalists delivering opening statements. Colton frames his game around adaptability — starting on the season's weakest tribe, surviving four Tribal Councils before the merge, and winning five consecutive individual immunities to secure his place in the Final 2. Trevor makes an emotional case for resilience — ten weeks on Extinction Island, winning his way back in, and refusing to quit when the odds were stacked entirely against him.
The jury questioning is intense. Jonah grills Colton on whether the showmance was genuine or purely strategic — Colton's answer, acknowledging that it was both, visibly moves several jurors. Audra pushes Trevor on whether he made any strategic moves beyond winning challenges; Trevor's answer is honest but thin. Petra uses her question to challenge both finalists on the moments she witnessed them being dishonest, drawing a sharp distinction between gameplay and character.
Priya votes for Colton — a gesture of genuine pride in her former partner's game rather than bitterness. Kwame votes for Trevor, citing respect for the comeback narrative. The remaining jury votes fall 4–3 to Colton.
